Repeat Prescriptions

If your doctor agrees, you may obtain repeat prescriptions without seeing your doctor by placing your repeat prescription request form in the box provided in the lobby - please ensure you have ticked your requirements. If you are unable to come to the surgery then please send your request by post, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope.

Alternatively you may order online via the link at the top of this page. To register for these services please visit our surgery with one form of photographic identification, either a passport or driving license. Your security details will then be issued to you. Under 16’s can also be registered and will be provided with individual log in details in the same way, therefore, parents and guardians will need to ensure these security details are kept secure.

You may also submit any repeat prescription requests or queries via email.

If you are registered at the Broadstone site, please email prescriptions.theharveypractice@dorsetgp.nhs.uk.

If you are registered at the Merley site, please email merleyprescriptions@dorsetgp.nhs.uk.

Unfortunately requests for prescriptions cannot be taken over the telephone due to the risk of errors occurring and, in addition, as this may block the phone for urgent calls.

Electronic Prescribing

We are now live for Electronic Repeat Prescribing, this means that you can request for your repeat prescriptions to be sent directly to your nominated pharmacy, meaning that you don't have to call into the surgery to pick up your script.  If you wish to nominate a pharmacy for Repeat Prescribing this can be done at that Pharmacy or by filling in the necessary paper work at our reception.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.  All prescriptions should be collected after 3.30pm.
