| The Practice has an active group of volunteer "friends" who are
ably supported by a keen committee, chaired by Mr Gordon Appleton. The friends promote
volunteer work amongst and for patients. They are able to offer help to patients with
shopping, prescription collecting etc. They also offer a support system for isolated
patients and purchase medical equipment which benefits all our patients. They fundraise at
special events, such as the Practice's "Flu Day", sell books in the surgery and
have many additional events planned. They also organise educational meetings to discuss medical issues with doctors and other health-related professionals. Look out for future events advertised in the surgeries. They are always looking for volunteers and if you wish to either become a volunteer or take advantage of the services that they offer then please contact our Practice Manager, Mrs Denise Hunter, for further information.
